Security Procedures & Driving Directions

TOTE Anchorage Office & Terminal Facility

The Port of Anchorage is a high security area. When you enter the Port area you will need to stop at the first security guard building (located in the middle of the road), show government issued picture ID, and inform the guard who you are coming to see. If you do not have your government issued picture ID, you will not be allowed access into the Port area. All passengers must have picture I.D. as well. Firearms, ammunition, explosives, illegal drugs and alcohol are prohibited from entering the Port of Anchorage. The first guard will ask you to proceed to the second security guard who will instruct you on where to go to obtain a temporary pass for your vehicle. Random vehicle searches are frequently performed.

Once you have your vehicle pass, you will turn right onto Terminal Road and follow it around between the tank farm and the rail road tracks until it brings you to our Administrative building, a two-story, grey with blue trim.

To access the Port of Anchorage from downtown, come north on “A” Street to the “A” Street bridge over Ship Creek. Take the “Port” exit off the bridge. Keep to your right into the Port of Anchorage area.
